The Institute for Field Research (IFR) and the Brașov Bioarchaeology Project,  in collaboration with Terra Ultra Silvam Archaeology, Asociatia Culturala Hyeronimus, and the Institute of Archaeology 'V. From January 4th to January 28th 2023, student Elizabeth (Lizzie) Bianco, on her final year in Anthropology & English Literature Double Major at the Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College (New York), was our intern to receive training in the osteological analysis and curation of Transylvanian skeletal assemblages. Her contribution was invaluable and we cannot wait to have her back! Please follow our Instagram for updates and highlights of Lizzie's internship.

Middle and high school students have welcomed us with lots of (very good!) questions and a keen interest in our discipline. Not only they impressed us with their poignant comments and questions, but also with their absolutely perfect English. Well done to all of them and to their wonderful teachers!

We had a fantastic time with the lovely participants in the socialising program dedicated to retired and elderly members of the community. Their curiosity and positivity warmed our hearts.
